School Organizational Team (SOT)
What is SOT? As prescribed in the law (AB394), each school has elected a team made up of parents, teachers, support staff, students, and/or community members to assist and advise with many important decisions impacting the school. The team will be responsible for developing the school’s Strategic Budget and Plan of Operation. Using data to guide key decisions focused on student achievement. They will also have the ability to weigh in on the hiring of a new principal, when required.

Responsibilities of the SOT
1. Assist and advise development of the plan of operation (school performance plan) each spring.
2. Provide continued assistance and advice to the principal in carrying out the plan.
3. Assist in the discussion of any additional authority to be transferred to school to carry out responsibilities.
4. Assist with the selection of the next principal when there is a vacancy.
